Lund Cabin

The Lund Cabin is a 1600 square foot home in Graeagle, California. It is made of hand-hewn timber frame logs (like Abe Lincoln's house) from a kit home from Hearthstone Homes in Tennessee.

We added a detached garage to the plan. The home has two bedrooms and a sleeping loft, covered porches in the front and back and a circular driveway. The cabin also has a beautiful large dormer in the rear and two smaller ones in the front of the house.

This is a very unique cabin and the Hearthstone Home pre-cut kit has gone together just as its supposed to. We’re having fun with this project, and hope that this will lead to building more Hearthstone hand-hewn timber homes in the future!
